The door is open halfway and I can no longer close it. What is wrong?
There could be several reasons, but it is most likely due to a bent track. If the track is bent or blocked by dirt, it is only natural for the door to get stuck. It is less likely but also possible that the problem is with the safety sensors, as usually if the sensors detect something, real or false, the door should reverse instead of staying stuck.
Do I need to replace my entire door when only a few sections are damaged?
You can replace only the section that has been damaged, but only when the damage is minimal. You may need to replace the whole garage door if you do not want the new section to be a different color than the rest, as color changes over time.
Should I get a new garage door opener or opt for a repair?
The question as to whether to opt for replacement or buy a new item is always governed by the extent of the damage. In many cases, garage door openers can be repaired for a cheaper price. But there are cases wherein replacing the opener is more practical.
Why is a steel garage door perfect for me?
